26.10.2009 Arrival

After checking in 8 bags in Dublin and loading 4 hand luggage, a buggy and buggy board and Mila and Victor on first plane - we have left the shores of Ireland. Two hours later we found ourselves in CDG airport (no lift for the buggy!) sweating and with both kids a bit out of it. Again on the plane to Tunis - absolutely packed - with luggage hanging off us like off camels we managed to sit down and get both kids to sleep. Arrived at midnight to Tunis - crossed the border - went home only to realize that we had forgotten to pick up one of the bags! and what a bag! With Victor's personal stuff in it. Luckily Gillou managed to get it!
The apartment is very comfortable and the view from the window stunning! Check out the photos!
We live 5 minute walk from Le Port Punic (photos to follow) and a little beach where Victor builds sand castle with local body guards - quite a lot of them since the area is occupied by elite of Tunis. We have a little take away Tunisian style just round a corner and today we tried - myself traditional Tunisian spicy veg with egg in a big round bun - Gilles - kebab - and Victor little chicken and cheese pastry. Both of us did not dare to try to each big green pepper!
Taxi drivers are very friendly and the same with all people around us - especially Mila seems to be very popular with everyone! We had three young girls in Carrefour kissing her and blessing for a good while!
Tomatoes truly taste different - much better - and kilo of them plus two aubergines cost us 50 cent in the local veg shop.
Victor's favourite sport at the moment is watching stars with Gillou on the roof of our house - of course lying on his back..just like Peppa Pig!
